Vines, Branches, and Gardeners 🍇

The True Vine

Jesus is the vine, we are his branches, and God is the gardener.

This makes pruning a bit more tolerable🤣 It’s like- “Okay, God, I got You. You are cutting out the rotten and dead things from my life so that I can live an even better and fuller life. That’s awesome.” No pain, no gain💁🏻

John 15:16 is where Jesus tells his disciples that he picked and appointed them to bear fruit, and that whatever they asked in the Father’s name would be given to them. 🙌💪

Jesus did miraculous things during his ministry on earth, but his followers were going to be equipped and able to do even more!

Think about that for a hot second…🧐

Talk about a servant’s heart!

Jesus knew that the world hated him( hello, they crucified him unjustly)and he for-warned his followers that they would hate them too.

So it should come as no surprise to Christ-followers that challenges and resistance from the fallen world are eminent and to be expected.

But God didn’t just leave us all high and dry.

After He raised Jesus back to life and seated him at His right side in heaven, He sent the Holy Ghost down to dwell in believers.

That’s good news!!!!

Death, where’s your sting?

Ain’t no grave gonna hold this body down! 💪

Jesus, for the win🙌

He’s the vine.
